Concept:

Maze voting game is a tool to help staff in community to collect the vote, also encourage children to share their opinions for the community in a playful way. When children play the maze, the votes will be analyzed automatically for the staff in community hub. The robot on the maze would provide a ball once player start the game (making a first vote by putting a token into the vote box ) , then the player control the board to do more votes. This is a collaborative game. While children playing the game, they are engaged to have more conversation on voting, which makes them to share opinions.

Development of consultation tool for community decision-making

Project: Development of consultation tool for community decision-making

Target: Children in the community

Where: The primary school in Letham, Scotland

Why community consultation?

Consultation will take place in the next few months with the Letham community about the facilities and design of the new Community Hub, so local people can have their say on what they would like to see provided from the building. -PKC

“There also needs to be a full consultation on this. The council needs to speak to as many residents as possible, not just members and groups that regularly use the centre.” -Mr Gillies

“As I understand it, residents raised £50,000 to enable this facility to be established in 1992, as a result of the vision of local councillor David White. Surely, therefore, the community has to have a large input into any plans the council may have for this building.” -Barbara Brown

Paper Engineering Body-storming

2017 Jan 19th

Paper Engineering

In the morning, we have done paper engineering workshop to experience prototyping with paper in different ways. Origami is similar activity as paper engineering. However, the one we did today is more multiple, in texture, shape and structure. Actually, think back, we have experienced folding paper and making paper handicraft since we were in kindergarten.
